Yellowstone Landscapes

We have been surprised by the diversity in the landscapes and the weather. Lush meadows, canyons, forests and lovely rivers. The weather has included snow, rain, hail and sun (sometimes in the same hour). At Fishing Bridge we had a big snow storm overnight and woke to a scene like Christmas.

  1. Gosh. Stunning. Love the street scene second from the top. Is that a real living town or is it a historic place to visit? Those snow shots are fab, but it looks cooooold. I hope you were nice and snug!

  2. The historic looking place is the town of Gardiner in Montana. The north entrance to the park is on the town boundary. The whole town looks like that, as do many others in the region - talk about character!
